The Light

The ground felt soft today,

But Then it has always felt soft,

She had left the hard ground in the past…..distant past….

And She was treading consciously, tenderly…. Carefully….

And then….

The soft ground melted below her feet…

And she fell ….deep…deep.. abyss…

Her illusions disappeared within moments…

There has been no ground under her feet…

It was quicksand….

And she was sinking for so many years…..

Till..it all melted….

Oh!!

The pain of emptiness…

The soul was sore… very sore…

She was falling…bottomless abyss….

Illusions shattered… dreams shattered…faith shattered…

No wait…hope calls..

There is a stream of light…

Pulling her out…

Slowly…as she fell deeper…

The light becomes stronger…

She held it tight…

Oh Please help me…

Please …I am scared.. and it is so dark and so lonely… bottomless vacuum…

The light pulled on… and pulled her out..

She rose with it…higher and higher..

Never fading or waning…just there…all the time…pulling her up..

Out of the abyss… and back to the soft ground..

The ground felt soft..as it always was…

She is treading consciously, tenderly…. Carefully…

Waiting for it to melt again below her feet…

But something is different now…

The light never left…. It stayed…

Enveloping her… a sheath around her…

“You have to tread this ground…this is your destiny..

But I am with you… around you…

Hush….no more tears….no more fears…

Feel me…I am around you… Sana..”

She smiles.. spreads her arms and feels the light…

Yes..I can feel you..

And she treads along… smiling..yet..tenderly…hopefully..

God! Please let it last…..
