Incredible Story of Naseema!

There are some stories that impact you a lot!  Here is one that will impact everyone!

An eight year old girl Naseema, was born to father who was deaf and mute.  Her mother died when she was a kid.  She was whisked away by a relative and sold to a couple who treated her very badly.  Often burning her with Iron.  She was helped by a Street vendor and escaped and the vendor told her that her home was in Anna nagar.. not the one in Chennai though.  But that is what she thought.

She went there but could find nothing.  She was on the street crying when a milk vendor took her and gave her to a Brahmin couple from Mysore.  This couple raised her like their own daughter – but as a Muslim!  They never even asked her to take off her Burkha.

Their neighbor’s brother – Sayad – a rich guy asked for her hand.  They made extensive inquiries to make sure he was the right guy, made him walk in front of her to make sure he was alright and not handicapped!  She married him and went to Saudi Arabia.

She couldn’t forget her father who had doted and loved her!  Finally Sayad called the Police Commissioner of Chennai and a detective looked for the father of Naseema.

Around 12.15, on June 20, the phone rang.  “Unga appa uyiroda irukkirar (Your father is alive),” said the voice from Chennai. Naseema Sayad, 32, couldn’t reply, she broke down.

Ibrahim Sherif, her father works as a cleaner at a small eat-out.  He is now waiting for his passport so that he can join his daughter Naseema who was stolen and sold off years ago!
