Meat Eating Hurts Human AND Environment Health!

The modern world has a swagger.  A sense of over-confidence that we can do what we want and the negatives can be overcome through some scientific break-through.  Until now, that has been true.  But the tipping point may be approaching fast and furious.  Those who want to enjoy the abundance of life – rich life – in an obscene manner are probably putting the well being of the ENTIRE planet at risk!

Meat eating has been increasing exponentially in the last few years.  Some say it is good for health – although enough studies point otherwise!  Protein is the most over-rated of nutrients in human food – a miracle achieved by wealthy lobbyists!

Now, there is evidence that meat eating may be contributing significantly to Global Warming and Climate change!  "Methane Flatulence" from animals kept for meat production is a major Greenhouse gas emissions – increased emissions of Methane and Nitrous Oxide!!  Nearly 25% of all Greenhouse gases are emitted by animals kept for meat production!

Gases from animals destined for dinner plates account for nearly a quarter of all emissions worldwide.
“That leaves reducing demand for meat as the only real option,” said Dr John Powles, a public health expert at Cambridge University and one of the study’s authors.
The amount of meat eaten varies considerably worldwide. In developed countries, people typically eat about 224 grams per day. But in Africa, most people only get about 31 grams a day.

Sad thing is that meat eating is increasing every year – and with that not only the Health of the

Human Population

but even the

Planet

is at Risk!!

With demand for meat increasing worldwide, experts worry that this increased livestock production will mean more gases like methane and nitrous oxide heating up the atmosphere. In China, for instance, people are eating double the amount of meat they used to a decade ago.
