Only Spiritual Idiots heal people’s body, not Saints!

In Spiritual circles, it is very easy to talk of “nicey-nicey” stuff which looks appealing but is Spiritual nonsense.  Just add in some buzzwords and say something that helps one feel good and placated and you have a best-seller and winner on your hand.  But if Spiritual journey and your longing to know is more than Entertainment for you, then you need to look at everything carefully and ruthlessly.

It is very common amongst the religious to look for “Healing” as a sign of the “greatness” of a Saint.  In fact, in Catholic Church, Sainthood requires miracles like healing to have happened.  But in Christianity in general, even Jesus’ greatness hinges on his “healing” abilities.

If spiritual journey is to take you from Untruth (Limitations) to Truth (Infinite), then – Is someone who attempts to heal your body – in other words, reinforce your attachment to your body, helping you or hurting you in your spiritual journey?

Quite honestly, this obsession with healing by Sages has completely screwed up the entire Spiritual World.

In the real Spiritual sense, any Sage who purports to “heal” people from their physical discomforts is a Spiritual idiot… one should remain as far from him as possible.  He may give you physical comfort, but he will have ruined your spiritual journey forever.. because he is merely making your attachment to the body and material world even stronger… the EXACT opposite of what a Spiritual Master should be doing!

Unless your living in the body can help you take a few final steps – left undone – to your liberation, why would a Spiritual Master be so worried about healing some problem?  If you have contracted a disease, maybe its good for your overall Spiritual growth.  Maybe it helps you realize the temporariness of your physical self and push you to look beyond.

But there is an entire industry out there for healing.  And it passes off as Spiritual work.
