For example, the Google News was an experiment done in the Bangalore lab of Google and was taken global because of its promise and succeeded.
Over the years, US centric events and sensibilities is what drives the outward communications of many companies around the world. It is important for most of them to localize and also acknowledge the significance of happenings in other nations.
Now, the doodles on the Google search box are no matter of pride. They aren’t even significant. They are simply a one day quirk. But such symbolisms become important when the essence of that company is acknowledged. At least in that country itself! So a country which provides so much of traffic to Google and so many products from its labs, needs to assert more.
Meanwhile enjoy the Red Fort, even though the PM’s speech may have been highly uninspiring and insincere.
