“You do not consist of the elements - earth, water, fire, air or even ether. To be liberated, know yourself as consisting of consciousness, the witness of these.” ― Ashṭāvakra, Ashtavakra Gita

The greatest fanatics on the planet always use the argument of fairness, justice, balance, and objectivity to make inroads into societies that are inclusive.  And those who are wont to be inclusive, remain inclusive to the point of their brutal deaths.  When someone’s idea is not about discussing, but about winning.  Not about accommodation but domination, then where do you live in inclusivity and where do you call the stops?

And, in some cases, as in most of Dharmic predisposition - should they even fight for their lives?  Of course, if you ask them - if your life is so dispensible, then right now may be a great time to jump off the cliff.  Which they won’t.

Life is important.  Awakening is not.

This was written by Anand Bakshi.  The original meaning of बंदगी (bandagi) of काफिर (kafir) is not worship.  But submission in slavery of a non-believer.  The meaning of  बंदगी has been mentioned as अधीनता एवं दीनता स्वीकृत करना।

That a Hindu lyrics writer like Anand Bakshi, an Army veteran in his life before movies, could attribute such words to a Hindu character in a movie, while proudly saying why he is not a kafir, yet he is behaving as one.  This shows how our society had normalized the righteousness of slavery itself.

When it does not even occur to you as to what you writing is derogatory to your own self and absurd, then it simply means you believe it is a very desirous state of being.

And, this normalization of one’s own lowly state of being has been ingrained in our culture’s psyche.

Today we will look into the devastating results of such an affliction.  One that is so hard to even come to terms with.

how Indian Constitution’s founding fathers opened it up for conversion mafias

I came across this piece on Pew Research’s site in a note on “Historical Overview of Pentecostalism in India.”  It is about how the right to convert was added to the Indian Constitution.  The story of how it happened is extremely sad and instructive.

During debates between 1947 and 1949 in the post-independence Constituent Assembly, Christians strongly support oa draft article that protects the right to profess, practice, and “propagate” religion. Key Congress Party leaders support the Christian position, and in 1950 the Assembly ratifies the Constitution with protection for the right of religious propagation. Jawaharlal Nehru helps to defeat subsequent attempts, in 1955 and 1960, to limit this right by restricting conversion. (source)

Here is the full story of how this mess started in the first place.

Many precursors to the Indian Constitution - Constitution of India Bill (1895), The Commonwealth of India Bill (1925), The Nehru Report (1928), and Karachi Resolution (1931) - had nothing to say about the Right to Propagate religion.  They only had the freedom ‘to profess and practise.’

The first time that the discussion on conversion came was in the note titled States and Minorities, composed by B. R. Ambedkar.

“The State shall guarantee to every Indian citizen liberty of conscience and the free exercise of his religion including the right to profess, to preach and to convert within limits compatible with public order and morality”(Source)

The real action on installing the right to convert as part of our constitution started in the Advisory Committee on Fundamental Rights, Minorities and Tribal and Excluded Areas and its Sub-committee on Fundamental Rights.

When the  Sub-committee on Minorities started looking at the religious rights within the context of the Constitution, the term “Propagate” made its appearance.  This was the backdoor that the evangelicals and Muslims needed to do their work.

This deed Tamil member educated at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Mariadas Ruthnaswamy argued, “that certain religions, such as Christianity and Islam, were essentially proselytizing religions, and provision should be made to permit them to propagate their faith in accordance with their tenets . . . ”

Interestingly, Sardar Vallabh-Bhai Patel was the Chairman of this Committee.  And his counsel to the committee was:

“Our mission,” Patel concluded, “is to satisfy every one of them and we hope we shall be able to satisfy every interest and safeguard the interests of all the minorities to their satisfaction”

The word propagate was probably added to cater to the “full satisfaction” of the minorities, whose rights Patel wanted to safeguard.

It is instructive that even when KM Munshi and Ruthnaswamy had major disagreements over the word propagate, the culmination of the debate was rather tepid.

Govind Ballabh Pant: At worst it is redundant and as so many members want it we had better introduce it.
K. M. Munshi: It is not a redundant word.
Chairman (Sardar Patel): Let us takes votes on it. Those who are in favour of retaining the word “propagate” may raise their hands.

(The amendment was accepted).

And thus three religious and strong-minded Hindus with tremendous scholarship but without the vision to see the damage they were unleashing - opened India’s Hindus up for conversion.

Compare this to the hawk-like religious fanaticism of even a pseudo and faux Muslim like Jinnah in ensuring the religious interests of Muslims were protected, even if it meant killing millions.

It is when you see this that you realize why Krishna never shared Gita with anyone other than Arjun, even when such luminaries were there.  When the direction of the war was at stake and Karna was stuck with his chariot, Krishna ordered Arjun at that time.  Many - specifically those who were followers of faux-spirituality - would have balked.  Not Krishna.  When the decision is between the proliferation of Untruth and Truth, there cannot be any ambiguity.

Those who want to be “fair and balanced” between Untruth and Truth, should not bother about a Spiritual path.  It is better for them to go watch a movie or eat some nice chocolate ice cream or pista kulfi if they prefer.  Why reduce the pursuit of Truth into the deception of entertainment.

serious Chinese activity along LAC

This is the latest image of China’s Lhasa Gonggar Airport approximately 300 km from Doklam.  These show apron upgrades along with new Hardened Aircraft Shelters adding a dramatic boost to the PLAAF's capabilities in the region and along the Indo-Sino border.  Here is a new share from the very credible d-atis twitter account.

What does this mean?  The Chinese seem to be in a hurry to get ready for something.

There are two kinds of shelters - Hardened Shelters and Blast Pens.  What are those?

We now believe that China is preparing for a major war-like scenario against India.  The Indian establishment should get ready for it.  Also, India needs to have an all-out strategy to check-mate the Chinese designs via smart war techniques.

how terrible was the massacres of Natives by the Christians?

In a very interesting study published in 2018, in the journal Quarternary Science Reviews, the impact of the attack by the Europeans on the Natives in the Americas was so devastating that it changed the climate on this planet!  (Source)

Researchers from University College London found that, after the rapid population decline, large swaths of vegetation and farmland were abandoned. The trees and flora that repopulated that unmanaged farmland started absorbing more carbon dioxide and keeping it locked in the soil, removing so much greenhouse gas from the atmosphere that the planet's average temperature dropped by 0.15 degrees Celsius.

Following Christopher Columbus' arrival in North America in 1492, violence and disease killed 90% of the indigenous population.  The study estimates European arrival in 1492 lead to 56 million deaths by 1600.  Such a large population reduction led to a reforestation of 55.8 Mha and 7.4 Pg C uptake. There was a significant drop in CO2 levels by 1610.  This atmospheric CO2 drop was partly caused by the indigenous depopulation of the Americas. (Source)

Woke feminism: when male feminist forces his penis in female feminist’s mouth on a whim

Is that harsh and obscene?  Well, I would have liked to put it differently, but sometimes you have to say things the way they are.

So, let us look at what happened and promoted this?

Actor Payal Ghosh has leveled charges against the director Anurag Kashyap of having molested (should have been rape though, from what she says).

“I went to meet him and the next day when he took me to the other room, he opened his zip and tried to force his c**k (penis) inside my vagina by opening my Salwar Kameez. He said it was okay and all the actresses who worked with him such as Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, Mahi Gill, they are just a call away.”  Apparently, Anurag Kashyap told her, ‘Whenever I call them, they come running and suck my c**k (penis)”. The director also told her that such physical relationships are normal. (Source)

But Taapsee Pannu has come to Kashyap’s defense by calling him the “biggest feminist” she knows. (Source)

The new Woke feminist is a guy who makes you and your friends suck his penis - when he wants.  And you run to do it at his beck and call - for work!

Just stay with that thought for some time in complete silence.

Now, explain to me how is a woke female whom this feminism revolved around is different from a prostitute who likes to call her freelance whorehouse “Bollywood”?

Real feminist women have other ways to deal with the situation - as opposed to wilfully running their freelance whorehouses to get work.  Here is one who speaks about it openly.

desicommies - enjoy

The entire situation around the Anurag Kashyap-Payal Ghosh episode has been so beautifully illustrated by DesiCommies handle on Instagram.  Please do check out other work on his handle as well and appreciate his creativity!

Farm Bill passed despite violence by “liberal” goons and louts: Shortly after the Rajya Sabha on Sunday passed the controversial new farm bills, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Kisan Krishi legislations, pointing that it was a 'watershed moment' for agriculture in India. Notably, the central government has claimed that the new agricultural legislation will make it easier for farmers to sell their produce directly to big buyers, despite growing protest from opposition parties over the issue.  "A watershed moment in the history of Indian agriculture! Congratulations to our hardworking farmers on the passage of key bills in Parliament, which will ensure a complete transformation of the agriculture sector as well as empower crores of farmers," tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this day. Rafale checks out Ladakh: The country’s latest fighter jets, the Omni-role Rafales, have now begun to fly in the skies over Ladakh amid the ongoing almost five-month-long military confrontation with China in the high-altitude region.  Defense sources on Sunday said the five Rafales, which were formally inducted into service at the Ambala airbase on September 10, have conducted some “familiarization sorties” in Ladakh in recent days. “Rafale pilots have flown the jets from Ambala to Ladakh to familiarize themselves with the operational environment there,” said a source. Khadi fights for its Brand: Fighting hard to ‘protect’ its brand name from rampant misrepresentation, government-owned ‘Khadi India’ has shot off legal notices to over a thousand firms and has now got hundreds of web links selling ‘khadi’ products across e-commerce platforms pulled off.  Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal among others have taken down over 160 such web links recently after government-run Khadi and Village Industries Commission’s (KVIC) stepped up pressure on the online selling platforms. World’s Highest Tunnel Ready: The world's longest high-altitude tunnel on Manali-Leh national highway is fully ready to open in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti district, a senior Border Road Organisation (BRO) official said on Sunday.  The 9-km Atal tunnel built at an altitude of about 10,000 feet above sea level in Lahaul Spiti's Rohtang is likely to be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in coming weeks, said BRO Chief Engineer, Brigadier K P Purshothaman. Frozen - Billionaires idea of Eternity: Some high net worth individuals have been looking into extending their lives far beyond the 70 or 80 years most of us might hope for.  Ambrosia is one of three outfits looking at experimental “vampire” blood transfusions that put the blood of young people into the lens of oldies.  For years, the story circulated that Disney founder Walt Disney had been frozen shortly before his death from lung cancer in December 1966. There’s no evidence that there’s any truth in the rumor, but research into cryonics has been progressing since the early 60s.  The first living subject was frozen in 1967. No-one has yet been revived after cryonic freezing but several people have been frozen, or had their heads removed and frozen, over the years. (Source)

First healthcare cyberattack Death: A woman in Germany has become the first healthcare cyberattack death after a hospital was unable to admit her because its systems had been the target of an attack.   The female patient, suffering from a life-threatening illness, had to be turned away on the night of September 11 by the city's University Clinic and died after the ambulance carrying her was diverted to Wuppertal, 30 kilometers (20 miles) away. the new Indian Parliament

The current Sansad Bhawan is old, badly retrofitted, and somehow functional.  There was a competition and Bimal Patel’s firm won the competition.  Here he explains what he is working on.  Sadly, this cynical lady (Jyoti Malhotra) is a Modi hater, so she was basically trying to troll him and missed doing a great interview.  The guy is articulate and has a great sense of what needs to happen.  I would have loved to probe more on the aesthetic side of what he is trying to do.  Also, how will his design blend with Lutyens Victorian-style design sense?  What he has in mind for the public space to blend with the official?  How will the Republic Day parade vista look like when he is done and has he put his mind on that?

Sadly, none of that she was interested in.  All she wanted was to somehow.. just somehow show Modi in bad light or his choice to be a poor one.

Despite that, the articulate Bimal Patel shared a lot of interesting things which for a Delhi-ite like the writer is very interesting indeed.
