Insightful newsletter of Drishtikone: Issue #324 - Control over Media and the One World Order

Media is an extension of power. Those who own and those who control it globally can lead the world. 'One World Order' is their goal. Our pusillanimity their weapon.

“Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.” ― Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

In Chapter 1, Sri Krishna had asked Arjun to go ahead and be prepared for the battle ahead.  Chapter 2 starts off with Arjun’s dilemma. After feeling bad about fighting his extended family and the Gurus, he finally says - I shall not fight.

Duryodhana was confident that the world and all that he could see belonged to him. Not an inch could be shared with his cousins.  Such was his narrative and insistence on that message along with the leverage on his father and the learned seniors that despite understanding the greatness of Sri Krishna, everyone from Bhishma to Dronacharya to Karna to Kripacharya fought him in a war.

A determined mind with the right communication skills can make you shoot at Sri Krishna himself if he appeared in front of you.

No matter how learned and wise you are.

Media - mainstream and social media - can tear societies apart.  It can make great men into shooting targets.  It can ensure you not just do what the powerful want while dumping your own well-being, but rejoice in your destruction.

You can either own the communication or be hunted.  Bhagwad Gita was Sri Krishna’s way to decontaminate Arjun from the consequences of the game that Shakuni and Duryodhan had set up.

Do we necessarily need to be in the middle of a Mahabharat to understand the game and pre-empt it?

May your entire year and life be full of happiness, growth, and blissful experience of life.  May you never fear anyone and may nothing inauspicious ever touch you.

Why does the Western Media hate Hindus?

In a very insightful interview by Citti media, the anchor asks Ashley Rindsberg, the author of the book “The Gray Lady Winked,” the inevitable question

“Why have Indians and Hindus been projected in a negative way for a long time by the Western media (specifically the NYT) and specifically from the 21st-century stand-point.”

Rindsberg starts off saying that he can understand why New York Times, for example, covers the US politics the way they do in a certain biased way. Also how they cover Israel the way they do. But he is at a loss as to why New York Times covers India the way it does?

Why do they believe that they have “skin in the game?”

Skin in the Game.  That’s the operative part. No one reads NYT in India.

So what interest does NYT have in India to be a judge or take sides in local politics in any way?

Flummoxed, he says that the only explanation that he can come up with is that India is succeeding with a model that they are not accustomed to.  New York Times cannot come to terms with the question as to how is India functioning as a pluralist society while being nationalist?  For them, you are either a nationalist and a Nazi or a pluralist and a socialist.  You cannot be - in their world view - a Pluralist and a Nationalist.

It revolts against their worldview.

He then goes on to say that it is also, however true that NYT has been covering Hindus and Hinduism for a long time (since the early 20th century) in a  shockingly negative way.  So, there is something far more insidious.  Racist really.

But essentially India and specifically Hinduism “fry their brains” and go against their “world view.”

This dissonance between reality and one’s worldview is called Cognitive Dissonance.

New York Times is faced with an extreme case of Cognitive Dissonance when it comes to Hindus and India.

Linear Worldviews and Cognitive Dissonance

Western and Middle Eastern societies which have been steeped in Monotheism have lost the ability to cross mental walls they have erected for themselves socially.  They have created linear models - either this or that.

Either God or Satan.  Either Believer or Non-believer.  Either Religious or Scientist.  Either with me or against me.

That Truth is all-inclusive is beyond their ideological capacity.

Even when cosmos, life, and nature embraces beauty and ugliness, creative birth of new planets with the violence of one galaxy devouring another, extreme heat with extreme cold, strong light with blinding darkness - the Monotheistic mind can only feel at home in the un-natural comfort of a linear world view.

When they come across diversity thriving, fueling and enhancing individual paths of people, the monotheist suffers an extreme case of Cognitive Dissonance.

A phenomenon that they have used to create their path to power.

Professor Dr. Gereon Wolters (Universität Konstanz), a Catholic Christian, shares the role of Cognitive Dissonance and how it is countered within the context of religious conversions in his article “Religious conversion: epistemological and other considerations.”

Source

If a person or a group targeted for conversion develops a sense of cognitive and social dissonance with respect to his existing faith structure, then the conversion will be easy and natural as it relieves him of the stress from that state.

The recent spate of “progressive” ads in India with respect to Hindu festivals and the subsequent virtue signaling to Hindus in a way that communicates that standing up for their culture and traditions is regressive does just that!  A sense of worthlessness about one’s own culture.

As a population, Hindus are being subjected to a version of dissonance - social dissonance.

Source

When what you buy and put money in, is at loggerheads with your beliefs, there is a certain dissonance that sets in.

For such a group, it becomes easier to change their beliefs in order to get away from the situation.  Specifically when the products that challenge their beliefs are inelastic in their demand profile.

This challenge is not unique to Hindus.  The liberal-left attack on culture and society in the West has left the Christians feeling the heat as well.

When previous US President Donald Trump was taken out by the various social media platforms, anyone who supported him was targeted as well.  One such platform targeted by many companies was Gab.com

Gab is a social media platform and was being used by the conservative crowd.  The platform lost its hosting  and CEO and his family lost access to credit cards and even bank accounts.

So they have retaliated.

Keeping their steadfastness to their faith intact.

That is how they are countering the attempt to create social dissonance within their ranks.

Source

Whether they are able to be successful or not is for the future to tell.  But such efforts have kept their “flock” alive.

Power battles and wars require social re-engineering and disruptions.  Full-fledged wars are not always fought head-on.  In most cases, they require setting up a stage from where one can claim a high ground in orchestrating the attack that one needs to launch.

Media and the Intelligence Games

For such a need, media and mass communication tools are the key.

In the case of the most powerful nations, media is controlled by the establishment (not necessarily the leading or ruling party) that runs the nation behind the scenes.  Usually the well-entrenched bureaucracy and intelligence agencies.

A US Senate Select committee was constituted in 1975 to investigate abuses by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), National Security Agency (NSA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  It was chaired by Idaho Senator Frank Church.  So known as the “Church Committee.

The most shocking revelations were:

  • Operation MKULTRA involving the drugging and torture of unwitting US citizens as part of human experimentation on mind control (Source)
  • COINTELPRO involved the surveillance and infiltration of American political and civil-rights organizations (Source)
  • Family Jewels, a CIA program to covertly assassinate foreign leaders (Source)
  • Operation Mockingbird as a systematic propaganda campaign with domestic and foreign journalists operating as CIA assets and dozens of US news organizations providing cover for CIA activity

Later on, it has come to light that another set of projects - Project Shamrock and Project MINARET were being undertaken by the CIA.  In the Project MINARET involved the accumulation of all telegraphic data that entered or exited the US. The Armed Forces Security Agency (AFSA) and its successor, the National Security Agency (NSA), had direct access to all incoming, outgoing, and transiting telegrams through the Western Union and its associates RCA and ITT via a daily microfilm copy.

Source

Operation Mockingbird was a large-scale program, for example, orchestrated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to manipulate news media for propaganda purposes.

Carl Bernstein, a leading US journalist who left the Washington Post in 1977, wrote a 25,000-word cover story, published in Rolling Stone on October 20, 1977, about the relationship between American news media and the CIA.

Source: Carlbernstein.com

Bernstein goes on to discuss the names of media organizations that have worked closely with the CIA and their missions.

Among the executives who lent their cooperation to the Agency were Williarn Paley of the Columbia Broadcasting System, Henry Luce of Tirne Inc., Arthur Hays Sulzberger of the New York Times, Barry Bingham Sr. of the LouisviIle Courier‑Journal, and James Copley of the Copley News Service. Other organizations which cooperated with the CIA include the American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company, the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps‑Howard, Newsweek magazine, the Mutual Broadcasting System, the Miami Herald and the old Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald‑Tribune.  By far the most valuable of these associations, according to CIA officials, have been with the New York Times, CBS and Time Inc. (Source)

Just let that sink in.

Read that again. And again. And remember those cute words - “Press Freedom” and Democracy.

ABC, NBC, Newsweek and Time Magazine, Reuters, Associated Press, New York Times, and CBS (the Who’s Who of US media) - not just cooperated with the CIA but carried out assignments domestically and internationally for the intelligence agencies.

And guys, these are NOT just harmless types of projects.  These assignments and collaborations have had the power to start World Wars.

The shifts that one sees in terms of media focus and narratives are usually funded, backed, and orchestrated by powerful intelligence agencies as part of an intelligence operation and executed with close cooperation of the media organizations in a country.  These media organizations are given an unassailable reputation and position such that they cannot be touched.  Thereafter, they become great instruments of social engineering.

For example, when you see something like this - you can surmise that something much larger and deeper is underway. Facebook, Amazon, Google, and others pledged billions for racial justice in 2020 but no one knows where the sums of money have gone to!

U.S. companies last year pledged to spend billions of dollars to help solve the country’s longstanding racial inequities. But more than a year later, it’s nearly impossible to know where all of that money has gone and exactly who benefited from it. (Source)

We have discussed such high road buckets of moneys for social changes that are used by intelligence agencies and how they impact the situation in other countries - Read Issue #262 - How Freedom House Subverts Democracies.

How New York Times published fake news to create the spark for World War II

On September 1st, 1939, New York Times ran a rather innocuous-looking but very important report.

Source

So, did New York Times carry the water for Hitler in his plans for World War?  See for yourself.  When some newspaper couches anything with “According to…” and does not publish the counter from the other source/s, you can be assured that it is running a paid promotion or a hit job.

But why was this obscure report so extremely pivotal and important?  Because it was part of the Nazi German propaganda material used to create justification for attacking Poland.

Note: The NYT used the word “insurrectionists” for the propagandist piece to describe the Poles who “attacked German border areas.” (a fake ‘news’)  Notice that the same word was used for attackers on the Capitol in Washington DC.  It is not our place to comment on the authenticity of an event or action, but the use of certain semantics to create a particular narrative without a counter to its justification is instructive.

And, Hitler used just this “report” and “attack” as the justification to invade Poland.

Germany’s invasion of Poland was the beginning of World War II.

So Media and Social Communications are the basis of world leadership and tools in establishing control over other societies.

That is why CIA has a start-up venture company - In-Q-Tel.  It uses it to get control over companies that will enable its future missions.  One of the companies it invested in via its Venture Capital ally Accel Partners was Facebook.  You can read the details in our edition embedded below.

Using control over global media along with the latest advances in science and technology is the way of future wars.  Nothing has established this more than the handling of the COVID situation.

Is India ready?

The question is who all are ready for these wars?

In a recent interaction this week, India’s Nation Security Advisor, Ajit Doval shared his understanding of how the future wars will be fought and why social disruptions are at the root of successful attacks.  He even hints at the COVID-19 SARS virus being a bio-weapon.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has said that the "deliberate weaponization of dangerous pathogens" was a matter of serious concern, and called for the need to build comprehensive national capabilities and bio-defence, bio-safety, and bio-security. The pandemic has further reinforced the need to predict threats and while biological research has legitimate scientific purposes, its dual-use application can be misused, he said. Dwelling upon climate change, Doval said that it is another "threat" that multiplies with unpredictable consequences.

But is any action being taken?

COVID war has been won and managed by the Chinese establishment on the power of its control over the global media.

Inaction and the existential questions

The question however is why has the Indian government and the intelligence agencies failed so spectacularly in making inroads into the global media mindshare and power structures?

Indeed, why has the Indian establishment chosen to become a sitting duck while other establishments use their media arms and journalists to define India and the Hindus?

Ditto is the question to organizations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.  The RSS.  It has now become the lightning rod for all the attacks on Hindus, Modi, BJP, and even India.

And, RSS or its personnel have no interest nor motivation to invest in its future or image which is being manipulatively presented all over the world!

Very soon.  Very very soon, the Hindus worldwide will be faced with an existential question:

Either RSS, BJP, and Modi stand up and fight for their rightful portrayal by investing in it extensively or Hindus will have to dump them lock, stock and barrel.

We cannot have a situation where an organization wants to become the leader of a group while being lazy, intellectually dumb, and not willing to spend in the battle they have on their hands and content to see the entire community being decimated.

The question is can the Indian government, RSS, the BJP improve their situation?  Yes.  China, despite its draconian ways, has used its money power and ability to bring funding in the dying industry of news reporting for its own advantage.  Everyone does.  This 2018 Guardian article discusses how China has done it.

There is a space that free enterprise and democracy provide.  Powers of the world use that space.  A learning that Indians and Hindus have not learned to deal with and have become ready victims of that situation.

One World Order

Leadership and power take two main ingredients - Money and Media.  You need the former to use the latter.

James Paul Warburg was a German-born American banker, son of banker Paul Warburg who was a member of the Warburg family, and the "father" of the Federal Reserve system in the US.

Those who have money and cannot use will be doomed forever.  While the powerful look and plan for a “One World Order” that they can dominate and control, you are either becoming their slave or fighting for your freedom.  If you are not doing the latter, you are relegated to the life of the former.

The choice is yours.

Phthalate contamination: The new study, which was published in the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology on Wednesday, indicated that fast-food chains may be the biggest culprit of phthalate contamination.  Phthalate is a chemical used as a plasticizer, which increases the durability of lots of different plastics. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), phthalates are used in hundreds of products from packaging, vinyl flooring, soaps, shampoos, and more. (Source) When combined at low levels, some phthalates can act together to cause similar harm as seen with exposure to just one phthalate at high levels. Phthalate exposures in humans have been linked to changes in sex hormone levels, altered development of genitals, and low sperm count and quality. (Source)

video corner: Vikram Sood on the New World Order

Vikram Sood, is the former head of India's foreign intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW).  He shares thoughts on COVID as a Bio-war, Afghanistan, China, India’s economic threat to the US and the West, and of course Pakistan’s game with China and the US.

Aarti Tikoo though is awkward, to begin with while asking questions, but her questions and interaction are bang on.  She is asking the right questions at the right time.  Perhaps because she knows the topics and is a thinker.

Very interesting, substantive, and informative discussion.
