Gays in India deserve a Nobel Peace Prize!!

When Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah and Justice S. Muralidhar tried to introduce changes in section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), they started a storm.  According to these justices the current section 377 of IPC is a direct violation of Article 21 of the Indian Constitution which promises EVERY citizen Equality under Law.  The Victorian-age law says:

“whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal should be punished”.

The judgment says that “any sex between consenting adults must be legalised” in a 105 page document, and section 377 should be amended to facilitate that.

Religious Harmony

And here in lies the greatest surprise!  The Religous leaders who are at each other’s throats have suddenly united.  Yes… UNITED!  They are all against the judgment and want it reversed.

Rev Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa, Head of Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar diocesan called it “Unacceptable” and “against society”.

Vinod Bansal, spokesperson of Delhi unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) called it also against “culture and family system in India” and something that would “spread diseases”.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, has been the most innovative in its reasons.  It predicts “Sexual Anarchy”…. whatever that means!  (if you do please help us understand!)

Great minds think alike…. as they say….

…. and fools never differ!

If someone is even looking at this, then I would say that the Gays in India – as a BLOCK – should get the Nobel Peace Prize.  They have done, which the greatest of Pacifists and the highest of rhetorics or even fear of God could not do!!  Bring Religous Leaders together!
