It’s A Coup Within A Coup, Says India’s Ex-Envoy To Sudan On President Bashir’s Removal

Rising prices, inequality brought Sudan’s President Bashir to power and removed him from it, says India’s longest serving Ambassador to that country, Deepak Vohra. He was able to crush dissent but the people said enough is enough, the Ambassador said in an interview to SNI Associate Editor Amitabh Revi. But an agreement has been reached not to hand him over to the International Criminal Court on Darfur war crime charges, he adds. Ambassador Vohra also says India will not be affected by the developments because of our standing
