'Taliban Calling The Shots, U.S. Desperate To Retreat'

U.S. Special Representative for Afghan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad is having a third meeting with Taliban leaders. This time in the UAE. Former Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Vivek Katju says the Americans are in a strategically desperate retreat. In a conversation with SNI Associate Editor Amitabh P Revi, he adds the Presidential polls next year are just a side show and the reason why the U.S. envoy has visited ten countries and not India on his quest for peace is because of Pakistan’s sensitivities.
