Why Trump Won and How Will the World Change?
The US, and indeed the world has seen a watershed event of Donald Trump's victory. It will change the US direction and may have pushed a World War by at least 3-4 years.

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
Own yourself.
At least own yourself. Work in your own self-interest.
Analyze the ramifications of your battles. The impact of your beliefs. The beneficiaries of your contributions.
What you align with will have a bearing on the future. So, play out the full impact assessment in your mind. The idea should be to see how the society you live in and the heritage that has made this world worth living in, is enhanced and empowered. That the future generations that come after you can have a better life.
For that, you don’t have to be altruistic. Or “do good”. Just work for your own self-interest. But honestly.
If you are honest about looking at what is works for you in the most fundamental way and contributing to society to strengthen that, then you will leave this world a better place.
GRATITUDE: I would like to thank Pavanji and Varunji for their very valuable contributions to Drishtikone in the last one week. We are indebted to your help!
General VK Singh wrote a long note to the Ministry of Home Affairs on November 13, 2013 (Source). He accused certain individuals in the media of having committed offenses that included actions against national security and hatching criminal conspiracies. These were the offenses he listed:
The people he specifically named in that complaint were:
What had these people done?
Shekhar Gupta had the infamous “leak” - accusatory story - of General VK Singh creating a mutiny-like situation.
“Essentially, late on the night of January 16 (the day Army Chief General V K Singh approached the Supreme Court on his date of birth issue), central intelligence agencies reported an unexpected (and non-notified) movement by a key military unit, from the mechanised infantry based in Hisar (Haryana) as a part of the 33rd Armoured Division (which is a part of 1 Corps, a strike formation based in Mathura and commanded by Lt Gen. A K Singh) in the direction of the capital, 150 km away.” (Source)
The idea was to create a fake story to keep the Army General ‘in his place’. Something that the megalomaniacal bureaucrats and politicians have tried to do since independence.
The scandalous report went on to make up stuff about the so-called movement of troops towards Delhi. General VK Singh wrote in his letter about how he thought this kind of behavior had to be handled.
This is a clear case of suggesting, instigating and abetting the commitment of mutiny by officers and soldiers of the Army that attracts Section 133 of IPC. Accused Nos: #1, #2 and #3 are liable to be charged under this Section. Having acted in a manner prejudicial to the defence of India and the security of the State and therefore attracting Sections 3 (1) and (2) of the National Security Act 1980 they should be detained under NSA forthwith.
Detained under the National Security Act. That is what was needed at that time.
Even more devastating than this fake made-up story of a mutiny that was never there was the story where an important covert intelligence operation was leaked out by the high-level bureaucrats and shared in media openly. This ultimately led to the closure of an important group that was created not just to stop terrorists from coming to India but to destroy their source.
That group was the Technical Services Division (TSD) under Military Intelligence (MI).
General VK Singh wrote in his letter about this division.
It was set up to accomplish covert operations in other countries. It was a very important wing because it was the only unit which could perform this task. Given the nature of the work, the whole unit worked in a secretive and ‘camouflaged manner’. TSD is a covert operation agency, activities of which are directly related to the safety of the soldiers fighting on the borders, retribution on the enemy and the security of the citizens. By its very nature TSD operation was ‘top secret’. In that event, even the existence of TSD should never have been publicised. Further, if there is exposure of the actual working of the top-secret unit, leaking information about it could be treacherous, regardless of whether information is true or not. (Source)
The TSD was critical to national defense in how it provided the Indian Army with real-time intelligence while operating behind enemy lines and engaging with the public in those countries both overtly and covertly to engage with them psychologically.
These were critical.
This is how India Today leaked out the details of this division.
MOD officials say they are also concerned about the activities of a shadowy unit called the Technical Support Division (TSD) within MI, which has reportedly been equipped with surveillance equipment. Who the targets were and for what purpose, is still not clear. TSD is headed by a colonel and has five lieutenant-colonels from the MI directorate who are posted at military stations across the country. The name of a retired director general of MI too has been linked to this covert outfit. Detailed questionnaires to the army on deployment of passive cellular surveillance systems and the composition, role and function of TSD did not elicit a response. (Source)
This kind of nonsense and a serious breach of national security is never ever allowed in any other country! But in India, under the pretext of “press freedom,” such treasonous reports were hashed out!
Who were the people involved in leaking out information?
The above serious offenses have been committed due to abetment and conspiracy indulged in by civil and military officials (past and present) in the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Defence, Army Headquarters, and many others. They are all guilty of abetment and Criminal Conspiracy to commit all the above offenses.(Source)
Indian Express led a crusade against the Indian Army at that time, probably at the behest of someone big.
A major clandestine division which was to undertake covert operations in other countries to stop terrorism from reaching our shores was hounded by the “journalists” of Indian Express.
On September 20, 2012, Manu Pubby reported:
The Army has appointed Lt Gen Vinod Bhatia to head a panel that will review the functioning and efficacy of a controversial Military Intelligence (MI) unit that gained notoriety following several allegations of irregularities and a recent case of espionage involving its head clerk. Lt Gen Bhatia, who is currently the Director General Infantry, will head a panel of officers that will probe the functioning of the Technical Support Division (TSD) over the past two years, ever since it was set up by then Army chief Gen V K Singh.(Source)
Again, a year later Ritu Sarin another hit-job with the objective of further discrediting TSD.
Misusing secret service funds to destabilise the Omar Abdullah government in Jammu and Kashmir, to pay off an NGO to try change the line of succession in the Army top brass, to buy off-air interception equipment, to conduct "unauthorised" covert operations — a string of alleged irregularities by the Technical Services Division (TSD), a controversial Military Intelligence (MI) unit set up by former Army Chief General V K Singh in May 2010, should come under the scanner of an external agency like the CBI. (Source)
The impact was to give a completely free field to the enemies of India to do what they pleased.
The locations, safe houses, the personnel, and the modus operandi of such groups are always kept secret and never leaked out. The Indian Express reporters had been leaked all these details however and were shamelessly doing surveillance of these offices and even trying to breach security by faking their identity.
TSD’s location, officials and its work were top secret and out of bounds. On 16 August 2012, at around 6 p.m., a white Toyota Qualis came towards the premises of the TSD. Two persons got down. One stayed near the vehicle and the other went inside the premises of the TSD. An Army personnel was present at the location. He saw an unknown man suspiciously roaming around in the unit premises. He immediately enquired about his identity. The ‘unknown’ man tried to dodge him and said that he is an army officer. The jawan asked for his identity card. Then, the ‘unknown’ man said he is a reporter of the Indian Express newspaper. Finding himself in an uncomfortable situation, the reporter hurriedly walked towards the Toyota Qualis, where a man was waiting for him, and fled.(Source)
If a flunky news reporter knew the locations of these secret groups, revealed by some idiotic bureaucrat, do you think the enemy intelligence organizations were not getting this information?
In this context, it is also important to remember the arrest of Lt Col. Purohit.
He was an officer in Military Intelligence, who as per the RAW officer, RN Singh, had infiltrated the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Indian Mujahideen. He used to give lectures to the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra.
The government implicated and arrested Lt. Col. Purohit on November 15, 2008, and the Mumbai attacks happened on November 26, 2008.
Coincidence?
And just 15 days before the 26/11, Lt. Col. Purohit was arrested on the charge of being the mastermind of the Samjhauta Express bomb blast.
It is instructive to note that the American CIA site continued to have Lashkar-e-Toiba as the main agency behind the Samjhauta bomb blast even when the Indian Government was trying to make a case against Lt. Col. Purohit and float the theory of Saffron Terror!
Whenever you find political polemics going around all over the social media trying to obfuscate the scenario, always remember how the government, its officers, bureaucrats, and media flunkies worked hard to throw your society to the wolves!
The barbarians were not at the gates. They were forced inside our gates by those who managed those gates.
One of the best things that the Indian government has done in the fight against COVID is to focus on mass production of the vaccine and having the Indian pharma companies get ready for it.
The collaborative strategy has been the hallmark of India’s plan to handle COVID. It started with better testing technologies. Indian teams worked with the Israeli research teams to create faster-testing processes.
A game-changer rapid Covid-19 testing technology being jointly developed by India and Israel should be ready for rollout in "a matter of days" and it will be able to give test results in less than a minute by simply requiring an individual to blow into the tube. (Source)
You see, when the vaccine is ready to be produced, the first countries to get the production will be where the companies which created the vaccines are located. The Rich countries.
The developing world will not get priority.
That is where India’s collaborative efforts come into play.
Serum Institute worked with Codagenix.
US clinical-stage synthetic biology company Codagenix has entered into a collaboration with the Serum Institute of India to rapidly co-develop a live-attenuated vaccine against the emergent coronavirus. (Source)
While Codagenix was to create the vaccine, Serum was to mass-produce it.
The Serum Institute of India, a vaccine manufacturer and distributor with a global footprint, will then scale-up the manufacture of the vaccine to ensure its availability to meet a critical public health need. Codagenix and Serum Institute are pursuing an accelerated development pathway with built-in redundancies to increase speed and likelihood of success. (Source)
They also did deal with AstraZeneca.
British drugmaker AstraZeneca has made clear its intent to rapidly scale production of the University of Oxford's COVID-19 vaccine hopeful despite a dearth of clinical data to support its use. Now, with an eye-popping deal worth three-quarters of a billion dollars, AstraZeneca is putting its money where its mouth is. The British pharma has inked a $750 million deal with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance to manufacture and distribute 300 million doses of Oxford's adenovirus-based COVID-19 vaccine by the end of 2020, the drugmaker said Thursday. (Source)
Serum was part of the alliance with Gates foundation as well.
Collaboration among the Serum Institute of India (SII), Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will accelerate manufacturing and delivery of up to an additional 100 million doses of future vaccines, if proven to be safe and effective, for low- and middle-income countries in 2021 (Source)
The result is that India has used its production facilities to pre-order 600 million doses of the vaccine and negotiations are going on for another billion doses. That would help vaccinate at least half the Indian population at least. Most experimental vaccines require two doses.
Only the US has made a similar level of arrangements. They have already pre-ordered 810 million doses and have another 1.6 billion being negotiated.
It will likely take three to four years to manufacture enough vaccines to cover the world’s population, but high-income countries and a few middle-income countries with manufacturing capacity such as India, have already purchased nearly 3.8 billion doses, with options for another five billion, showed an analysis of purchasing agreements for Covid-19 vaccines by the US-based Duke Global Health Innovation Center. The thing is in the next few years, the poor countries will suffer the most. And, that is where the Indian government has done something that will ensure India does not meet the same fate.
Hizbul Terror Chief gunned: In a serious blow to homegrown terrorism in the Kashmir Valley, Hizbul Mujahideen's operational commander Saifullah Mir was killed in a gunfight with police and security forces in Srinagar district on Sunday, officials said. His associate was arrested alive in the encounter in the Rangreth area. A top police officer said the operation was based on hard intelligence generated by the police. (Source)
Abdullah’s Roshni Act extinguished: In a major development, three weeks after the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) High Court decreed the erstwhile State's Roshni Act as unconstitutional and unsustainable, the Union Territory (UT)'s administration yesterday (31 October) issued orders to annul all mutations, remove encroachment and retrieve such land within six months. The administration led by Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha has issued orders to the UT's Principal Secretary (Revenue) to ensure that all the mutations done under the Act as amended from time to time, and rules made thereunder are annulled and to also work out a plan to retrieve large tracts of UT's land. Haryana anti-Grooming Law as well: A day after UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced his intent to bring a law against “love jihad”, his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar said his state, too, was contemplating legislation to combat the alleged trend of Hindu women being drawn into relationships with Muslim men and forced to convert. The BJP-led coalition’s move comes amid outrage over the daylight murder of a 21-year-old college student by her stalker, a former classmate, in Faridabad’s Ballabhgarh last week. Speaking in Karnal on Haryana Day, Khattar said the girl’s killing was “linked to love jihad” and that both the Centre and the state government were taking the issue “very seriously”. The Haryana CM said not for nothing were two governments seeking legal advice on the scope for laws to prevent a recurrence of forced conversions and, sometimes, killings like the one in Ballabhgarh. “Legal provisions are being contemplated so that the guilty don’t escape and innocents are not punished.” (Source)
Ram Naam Satya yatra: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday issued a stern warning to the miscreants indulging in love jihad by concealing their identities and entrapping girls and women in their relationship. Promising to curb the love jihad menace, Yogi assured that a new law will be enacted and advised the errants to mend their ways or be prepared for their “Ram Naam Satya” journey. “Allahabad HC said religious conversion isn’t necessary for marriage. Govt will also work to curb ‘Love-Jihad’, we’ll make a law. I warn those who conceal identity & play with our sisters’ respect, if you don’t mend your ways your ‘Ram Naam Satya’ journey will begin,” Yogi said at a meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur. (Source)
Khatara Bajaj?: Just a week after Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj said that the two-wheeler sales remain low, market leader Hero MotoCorp posted record sales in the month of October. Indian multinational two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp Ltd witnessed the highest-ever sales in a single month in October 2020 after the company sold over 8 lakh motorcycles and scooters in this month alone. As per a statement issued by the company, Hero MotoCorp recorded a growth of 35 percent as compared to the corresponding month of last year. In October 2019, the company had sold 599,248 units while this month 806,848 units were sold by the company. (Source)
By far, one of the most beautiful messages on Diwali from any news anchor. Listen to it. Palki Sharma Upadhyay does a fantastic job of whatever she touches.
This is how the news ought to be in India.
