Insightful newsletter of Drishtikone - Issue #84: Ram, Fate & Purusharth and How US State Dept Betrayed US for Pak nukes!

Three paradigms of how spiritual beings have engaged with society in India - Shiva, Krishna, and Ram. One rejected the society unless someone with singular devotion (Saptarishis) or love (Parvati) approached. Second, engaged fully with society and worked within the laws but rejected the norms. Third, lived within the norms and laws of the society with complete equanimity despite the challenges.

When the violent destruction of his abode* in India was done by a vile, bigoted, and fanatic invader, it is quite befitting that the wrong is being remedied within the purview of law as per the norms of the society itself.

Despite the challenges.

(Temple is a space with Prana Pratishta, with a certain energy established and reverberating. In his case, of Shri Ram)

Steadfast in his righteousness and equally embracing to all within his realm, Ram left a legacy of a rule that requires sacrifice, higher consciousness, and all-embracing love. It is, therefore, again befitting that Ram comes alive in his abode during the rule of someone like Narendra Modi, who exudes all these qualities.

In Yoga Vasistha, Shri Ram’s Guru - Sage Vasistha teaches his disciple on the importance of self effort and the uselessness of Fate or divine dispensation. That which we call “god’s intervention” or fate is an idea established in foolishness. Effort is all that works.

Fate or divine dispensation is merely a convention that has come to be regarded as truth by being repeatedly declared to be true. If this god or fate is truly the ordainer of everything in this world, of what meaning is any action (even like bathing, speaking, or giving), and whom should one teach at all? No. In this world, except a corpse, everything is active and such activity yields its appropriate result. No one has ever realized the existence of fate or divine dispensation. (Sage Vasistha to Shri Ram)

Purusharth is the greatest teaching and tool that Ram received from his Guru. One that he used throughout his live to handle situations around him. Situations that can push anyone to the limits of sanity or life itself. Ram never looked up or waited for fate or god to intervene. He worked for what was needed. Even when he invoked Shiva’s consciousness on the banks of the sea before leaving for Lanka, it was not for praying but to equip himself with the wherewithal to do what was needed.

Something that Guru Gobind Singh also called upon when he said -

Today, as Ram Janmabhoomi temple’s Bhoomi Pujan starts off Prana Prathishta of Ram in India yet again, those who value His presence should resolve that purusharth, and not fate or mindless belief in some divine dispensation will be central to every action of theirs from here on.

If establishing Ram in India was so tough, keeping his energy and his presence on, given the hovering challenges, will be even tougher. That is when purusharth will be most critical!

Ramayana all over Asia

  • Reamker (Khmer - រាមកេរ្តិ៍) is the epic in Cambodia based on Valmiki’s Ramayana and it means “Glory of Rama”.
  • Ramakien (Thai: รามเกียรติ์) also means “Glory of Rama” and is based on the story of Ram.
  • The Indonesian version of Ramayana is known as Kakawin Ramayana, as it is in kakawin meter in Old Javanese language. The Legong Ramayana Dance from Ubud, Indonesia is a very popular folk tradition in Indonesia. A troupe had performed it at the ASEAN summit in 2018, with Bulan Trisna Djelantik, a Muslim playing the role of Sita.
  • Phra Lak Phra Ram’ is the national epic of the Lao people based on Valmiki’s Ramayana.
  • Hikayat Seri Rama from Malaysia is the Malay literary adaptation of Valmiki’s Ramayan in the form of a hikayat.

“Lord Ram looked at Hanuman and asked - Who are you? Hanuman bowed his head reverently, folded his hands and said - When I do not know who I am, I serve You and when I do know who I am, You and I are One.” - Ram Charit Manas

AIMPLB threatens to destroy the Ram temple - Babur style

Some groups and organizations are not cut out to live or work in a democracy. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the fanatics that it represents (which are not the majority Muslim community), are not fit to live or function in a pluralistic, democratic society governed by laws enforceable by courts. They only recognize their own fanatic distortions of human conduct as the way to live.

Hence, this open vile threat. A threat that is a contempt of the Supreme Court of India which unanimously gave the verdict - “in favour of the Ram Janmabhoomi and said there will be Ram Mandir at the disputed site and Muslims will be given an alternate 5 acre land for their mosque.” (Source)

Babur destroyed the Ram temple to put a monument to celebrate his victory and humiliation of the Hindus in India. AIMPLB is threatening to do what Babur did - destroy the temple coming up - using their right to free speech as a weapon to unleash the same bigotry that is the legion of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Taliban and many other terrorist groups.

All India Muslim Personal Law Board

#BabriMasjid was and will always be a Masjid. #HagiaSophia is a great example for us. Usurpation of the land by an unjust, oppressive, shameful and majority appeasing judgment can't change it's status. No need to be heartbroken. Situations don't last forever.

Being aware of the hatred is one thing. Understanding the intensity and the unabashed bigotry is even more critical. Battling such fanatics will require us to ensure that the same democratic rights, these organizations use to destroy the very system that provides them these privileges, are checked by the fundamental duties that the democratic pillars stand upon. Enforcing the duties to check vile aggression of distortion of rights is the best way to handle the future challenge.

BREAKING: mushroom explosions in Lebanon

Two major explosions happened. The videos are for everyone to see. But the question is - Who did it?

Here is some information from the Jerusalem Post.

The source of the explosion was unclear. LBCI Lebanon News claimed that a fire had broken out at the port and then triggered an explosion of a nearby warehouse storing fireworks. According to the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen news, the explosion occurred in a warehouse storing benzine, a flammable chemical. Sources from Hezbollah told OTV Lebanon that there was “no truth” to reports that the explosion was caused by an Israeli strike on Hezbollah weapons at the port. Israeli defense officials denied that Israel had any connection to the incident. Hezbollah operatives were seen at the port after the explosion, according to Al-Arabiya. Fighter jets were spotted over Tel Aviv after the explosion, according to Channel 12 news.

What was in that warehouse which created this explosion? Was it’s detonation a “surgical strike” against Hezbollah’s planned future plans?

As for the mushroom cloud, here is something sane about the explosion that one needs to remember:

“Contrary to a common misconception, the shape of the mushroom cloud does not depend on the nuclear or thermonuclear component; as you note, a massive detonation of chemical explosives would produce the same effect.,”

And read this article for better understanding of what happened.

Think ‘Halifax’ Not ‘Hiroshima’ For Beirut Explosion

Mushroom clouds are iconically linked with nuclear explosions, but that is because mushroom clouds are a phenomenon that follows big explosions, and no nuclear detonation is small.

state department's treason and pakistan's nukes

Richard Barlow was feted, awarded CIA analyst. He was awarded a Certificate of Exceptional Accomplishment by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), US. Richard Clarke, the deputy secretary for intelligence had given him a commendation for “outstanding assistance in long and complex investigations”. He would prepare briefs for Dick Cheney, when he was at the Pentagon, the highest levels of CIA and even for the Oval office.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Barlow hit upon something mindboggling that was going on between US and Pakistan. The US State Department was preventing the Commerce Department (responsible for export licenses) and US Customs (which enforced the licenses) from “doing their jobs.”

Pakistanis were exporting critical parts for their nuclear plant.

Pg 166

Pg 166

When he went deeper into the whole issue, he discovered something he had never expected. All the operations against the Pakistani smuggling firms that were undertaken by the US Customs or CIA operations were being shared with the Pakistanis. The US State Department had been sending detailed demarches to contacts in Pakistani government about these operations.

Pg 167

Pg 167

The US State Department was facilitating the Nuclear proliferation to Pakistan. A treachery!

Frustrated, Barlow and the US Cusoms laid a trap for the Pakistani contact who discussed doing deal for a “Kahuta client”.

Arshad Pervez was the front man. The real man - his handler was Inam ul Haq. A Pakistani career diplomat who later served as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister as well (Source).

Pervez was arrested, but Haq got away. Barlow found enough compelling evidence later that the entire operation had been sabotaged from within the US State Department and Inam ul Haq had been tipped off!

Pg 170

Pg 170

His explosive work, and specifically on the fact that Pakistan was fitting their F-16s with nukes, while the US President from Reagan to Bush Sr. certified that their F-16s were not - so as to continue the sale of those planes to Pakistan earned his the wrath of the establishment.

Today he lives in Montana in a trailer, unemployed without pension. His marriage broke down as well due to all this.

Rich Barlow idles outside his silver trailer on a remote campsite in Montana - itinerant and unemployed, with only his hunting dogs and a borrowed computer for company. He dips into a pouch of American Spirit tobacco to roll another cigarette. It is hard to imagine that he was once a covert operative at the CIA, the recognised, much lauded expert in the trade in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). (Source)

This is how Pakistan got its nuclear plant.

Now Pakistan is reduced to a situation where it can only do such stunts to remain relevant in the new world. Here is the latest stunt by Imran Khan government where it draws a fantasy map and shares with the world. A map where Pakistan counts Jammu and Kashmir and Junagadh in Gujarat as its territories

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday unveiled a new “political map of Pakistan” that counts Jammu and Kashmir and Junagadh in Gujarat as its territories.

sunny days are here again!

COVID-19 pandemic has closed down our daily lives. It has meant closed factories and almost non-existent daily commutes across much of the world in March and April. What was the impact?

The global electricity use is expected to drop by 5% this year, according to the Institute for Economic Affairs, a think-tank with its headquarters in London.

This has meant cleaner skies and sunnier days. Which means higher solar generation in many places to record highs! (Source)

Pre-COVID, dust and pollution has been a major issue.

A study by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar reveals that deposition of dust and particles on solar panels, and smog and haze in the atmosphere, account for nearly 17% drop in solar energy production in India. This causes massive revenue losses for investors. (Source)

These charts clearly show the different in the generation of solar power in India - pre-COVID and post-COVID.

You can see two highs - first increase by 23% from 26 to 28 March and then by 18% from 31 March to 2 April.

The peak generation (178 MU, 2 April) has been 13% higher in lockdown compared to the peak generation (158 MU, 18 March) in pre-lockdown.

Unprecedentedly, India’s total solar generation in April was about 8% higher than March.

Africans stand up to China too

Paul Kagame of Rwanda is one of the most respected leaders in Africa. He has ordered the deportation of eighteen(18) Chinese Nationals from the country last week

You can't eat from Africa and disrespect us; Kagame says as he deports 18 Chinese Nationals. -

One of the most revered Presidents in Africa, Paul Kagame of Rwandan has been trending currently on social media for what many refer to as an act of a true leader.

Master Madan - an end like Sushant Singh's?

Many years ago, before Sushant Singh Rajput was murdered by someone powerful - from within the industry or political person - another great talent was killed. Most probably by someone from the industry itself. He was probably the greatest music talent that the Hindi movie industry has seen.

Master Madan was a child prodigy. He was born December 28, 1927, in KhanKhana, a village near Nawanshahr in Punjab. He died June 5, 1942 - at just 15 years of age! During his life he only recorded eight songs. These were:

  1. Yun na rah rah ke hamein tarsaiye
  2. Hairat se tak raha hai
  3. Raavi ke parle kande ve mitra
  4. bagaan wich pingaan paiyan
  5. Chetna hai to chet le
  6. Man ki man
  7. Mori binati maano kaanh re
  8. Gori Gori baiyaan

It is said that he died due to mercury poisoning of his milk while at Shimla. These are two of his best compositions and probably the most popular!

India is on the path of economic recovery, but an increase in the number of Covid-19 infections and intermittent lockdowns imposed to curb the spread of the viral disease cloud its prospects, the finance ministry said in a report (Source)

The Bihar government is recommending a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the case of death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. The Bihar CM said that the late actor’s father had earlier in the day held talks with the Director-General of Police (DGP), Bihar, and given his consent for a CBI inquiry to be conducted in the case. During a media briefing on COVID-19, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said this is the first time after the first lockdown (March 25) that the fatality rate is at the lowest at 2.10%. The mortality analysis of the present data shows that 50% of deaths have happened in the age group of 60 years and above; 37% deaths belong to 45 to 60 years age group; while 11% deaths belong to 26-44 years age group. In the gender-wise distribution, 68% of people who died were men and 32% were women. (Source)

Are Turkey and Pakistan working together to provide nukes to Turkey? Turkey’s quasi-imperial overstretch is at the ripping point. Based on a neo-Ottoman strategic vision of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, over the last decade, it has generated animosity in virtually all neighboring countries, and some who are not neighbors too.
