PM’s Japan Visit

India and Japan established  diplomatic relations in April 1952, they also signed a peace treaty with Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru waiving reparations for losses suffered during World War II. Thereafter bilateral relations were largely conditioned by the Cold War and Japan’s role as a U.S. ally.  In recent years ties have seen an upswing.  Below are some diplomatic milestones.
