Rs 15,000 crores sales have been recorded in just 5 days (October 9 through 14) of the Diwali season online buying in India. This is a growth of 64% over 2017. It was buoyed by affordability and loyalty schemes from the retailers, as per Red Seer Consulting. 80% new customers were from rural areas, smartphones led in value while fashion in number of units of sales.
