B.S.Yediyurappa is the new Chief Minister of Karnataka.  One of the first things that his government has done is to cancel all observation of Tipu Jayanti.  This event was started by the Congress government to spite the Hindus.  Anybody from Tamil Nadu knows what he had done.  In the run up to Diwali celebration, on Naraka Chaturdashi day, 800 Mandyam Iyengar Brahmins were mercilessly slaughtered by Tipu Sultan’s army.

To this day, this community does not celebrate Diwali.

That tyrant was being celebrated by thumbing the nose of those in Karnataka who were the descendants of this tyrant’ victims.
