Amid speculation that Kamal Haasan will take a political plunge, the veteran actor on Thursday described himself as a rationalist and said what drives him is ‘makkal’ which translates to people in Tamil.
In an exclusive interview with Times Now’s Editor-in-Chief Rahul Shivshankar, Haasan, who has been of late critical of the ruling AIADMK on corruption, said he was open to a dialogue with every political party.
The actor further announced that his motto was ‘Makkal First’ and he will get close to anybody who is people-centric. “I am a rationalist,” said Haasan.
“I cannot deliver half my promises if I don’t get the help from people,” said Haasan.
Putting forth his views on right-wing politics, Haasan said: “I love the people more than the existence of God or the non-existence of God.”
